Aspen made her way threw the forest as she sniffed for food. Dang she thought. It was moon high and she still didn't find a single scarp of food. She had been starving for days. I should find a safe den for the night she thought before beginning to search for a den. Luckily, a fox den was near by. Aspen sniffed at the fox's scent. Stale. This fox was long gone. To her joy, she found bedding inside. When she got comfortable, she slowly drifted to sleep.
A scent of rabbit woke Aspen up. She made her way out of the den and followed the scent. As she came closer, a deer scent came to her. Weird she thought. She saw a dead rabbit laying on it's side. Not thinking, she went up to it. "GET AWAY FROM MY PREY, FOX!" she heard a cat hiss as she was scratched on the head. "Ow....." she whimpered. Bl
because it sucks and needs to be longer. Also, I need to edit some things on it. And no, their is no exact point to this story.

Aspen made her way through bright, green forest as she searched for prey.
Damn it! Her mind hissed. It was now Moon high and she couldn't find a single strap of prey! She had been starving for days, almost becoming to weak to hunt. She sighed,
I should find a safe den for the night. To her luck, she spotted a old fox den. She sniffed inside of the worn out den. Stale. That fox has been gone for moons, it wouldn't bother her now. She collected some moss for bedding before curling up and drifting to sleep. A sudden scent of rabbit woke Aspen up the next morning.
Yes! She thought,
I'll finally get to eat! She stalked the scent trail of the rabbit. As she got closer, she scented a strong deer nearby.
Strange She thought. At the end of the scent trail, Aspen finally saw the rabbit. However, it was laying on it's side, dead. Without giving a second thought, she padded up to the rabbit. "Get away from my prey fox!" A cat meowed before she struck Aspen on the head.
Aspen stumbled backward, a slight drizzle of blood escaping her wound. The cat stared at her and coughed, "Oh sorry, I thought you were someone else." Aspen gazed up to see a white she-cat. She had one single scar on her cheek, but she was still frightening. "I'm sorry, uh, miss, i'll just leave." She croaked. Due to not using it, her voice was weak. As she turned to leave, she heard the cat meow, "No, stay here." She gazed back at her, trembling slightly. "I'm Snowball, and you are...?" She cocked her head to her side slightly. "A-Aspenheart! But, most c-call me Aspen. You call me whatever you w-want!" She stuttered. Snowball nudged the rabbit over to her, "Here, i'm not hungry anyway." Aspen glanced at her, "How come?" "How come? Don't tell me you see didn't that!" Snowball pointed her tail towards the deer leg.
"I didn't." Aspen meowed as she finished up the rabbit. Snowball shook her head slightly, "Alright, follow me now." She began padding through the forest, checking to see if Aspen had obey her. She followed the white she-cat closely, slowly blinking. "Where are we going?" She asked softly. Snowball gazed back at her, "To my den."
Why is she helping me? No one else has! She thought as they arrived at Snowball's den. It was the first time Aspen noticed the dark grey clouds swallowing the sky. "Why are you helping me, Snowball?" Snowball paused at the question. It seem like moons before she answered. "I've noticed you before. How skinny you were, but were still determined to live. You never harmed anyone and always kept to yourself. You admitted the rabbit wasn't yours because you knew you were to weak to fight. That's true survival." She glanced back at her, "The reason I called you fox earlier is because I meant this cat named, Gingerheart I think, and he wouldn't leave me alone! He would attempt to take my prey and run off scared when I caught him. Ha! What a mouse."
Aspen opened her jaw to speak but was interrupted by loud thunder. Snowball glanced up at the clouds, her pupils expanding with fear. "Get in the den!" she hissed, pushing her in. "Why? What's wrong?" Aspen asked, worry overtaking her voice. "The hurricane is coming!" She hissed, using vines and rocks to cover the entrance. "Your den is huge!" She was amazed of how neatly the brambles were place in a nice pattern. "Never mind that! Just follow me!" Snowball led Aspen in a hole that was dug recently. "I knew this storm was coming, so I got prepared. That's why I was hunting that rabbit even though I was full." Prey was sealed in a tiny dent in the Earth. Bedding materials were laid out. "What about water?" She asked. Snowball glanced at her, "Idiot! It's going to be raining. There will be water coming out of our ears!" She sighed, "Just get your bedding prepared. We'll be in here for sometime." "You know," Aspen meowed, "You could just kick me out, then you'll have all of this to yourself."
Snowball smiled at her, "How thoughtful of you, Aspen. But I want you to stay." Aspen cocked her head to the side, confused. She sighed, "I'll be stuck here for days, so I want some company. Plus, I'd pick you over stupid fox any day!" She chuckled, "I guess i'm staying." Snowball padded over to her, placing her paw on Aspen's head. "Your still bleeding, hold on," She snatched up a cobweb and placed it on her head, "I'm not medicine cat, but it's the least I could do." She smiled, "Thank you Snowball." Lightening flickered outside, followed by loud thunder. Rain poured against the den, but it never made it down the hole. Snowball cuffed her against the ear playfully, "Now get some rest. Your going to be running your mouth off tomorrow."
